New York City, NY, USA
Photography by: Morgan Whitney
I have had the opportunity to go to NYC in the Winter, Summer and most recently in Autumn. No matter what time of year, you can feel the strength and liveliness of the city. Seeing the One World Trade Center while casually walking down the street creates so many different thoughts, emotions and memories. As I move closer and eventually find myself at Ground Zero the emotions are now overwhelming.
This physical distance is a metaphor for how easy it is to forget what we can not see, touch, feel on a daily basis. I hope this image is a reminder that even when all the people who live in this one world are out of sight and out of mind that we still remember we are one and united.
